She took one look and started to cry. Mom is a hard person to get to cry but when she does that means a lot. It means that she is in amazement and AHHHHH! That is the reaction I always look for. Betty (mom) says thank you very much for the beautiful cake and that she has never seen a cake like that before." Karen L., September 2009

"The cakes were perfect! It really was beautifully done. The chocolate cake tasted so moist and rich and the strawberry shortcake tasted so light and fresh. Everyone kept asking where I got them from. It is a good thing we took a picture of it before the guest arrived because my daughter went behind the dessert table and grabbed a chunk out of the cake and stuffed it in her face! I have a picture of that too. Thank you so much." Nicole B., August 2008

By the 19th century, whole wedding cakes became really popular. White has always denoted purity, a notion as it relates to white wedding cake icing that first appeared in Victorian times. Cutting the cake together symbolizes the couple's unity, a shared future, and their life together as one. The groom's hand over the bride's is a symbol of his desire to take care of her.
